adding Bailey Pond painting

lovely Sunday morning at the boat launch. suddenly an unexpected gust of wind made my umbrella para-sail upending my easel & all into the edge of the water.  luckily no damage resulted & after restoring things soldiered on painting awhile more.  nice spot. 16x20 plein air.

artist statement

my goals are simple.  I just want to paint what I enjoy
while always looking to improve myself.
I also use a reminder to myself - my vision is unique
and I don't need to paint like anyone else.
I like the freedom of being who I am and not                                                                                                                             what I think I should be.
the journey for me is more important
than the destination.
to paint plein air helps preserve what is in the now
for the future.  it is tremendous joy
to be outside in the fresh air enjoying
the whole of the moment.
