edge of Berlin Pond on a very windy, sunny, and cold late afternoon.
needed to quickly put in my underpainting and pack up to leave. painting today with Joyce. we tried to access the backside of the pond, but afraid to pass through the deep ruts after the first encounter. couldn't put our easels up, so tried to hand hold my linen panel. finished at home.. we are hardy Vermont stock! or I am anyway.
